DIMENSIONES

Grandaddy es una formación norteamericana de Modesto, California. Se dieron a conocer en 1996 con 'A Pretty Mess by This One Band'(Will Records). Su disco más recomendable es 'The Sophtware Slump' (V2 Records, 2000) , donde podemos encontrar temas extraordinarios como 'Hewlett's Daughter', o 'The Crystal Lake'.

Hacen una música intensa y llena de matices sonoros en los que destaca por encima de todo, la particular voz de Jason Little, una de esas voces casi lloronas que dan un estilo único a la banda. A quien le guste Mercury Rev, los mismos Radiohead, seguramente tengan en este a una de los grupos más interesantes para disfrutar las próximas semanas. Es una banda de culto que lamentablemente dejó de existir en 2006, poco después de publicar 'Just like the Fambly Cat' (V2 Records).

El tema que escuchamos a continuación está incluido en su álbum Sumday (2003).
